Donaldson Center Fire Department

SC Technology and Aviation Center features a dedicated, on-site fire department to provide emergency and non-emergency services to the airpark and park tenants. The fire department is manned 24 hours a day, utilizing two crews of 9 personnel to maintain the highest level of safety in all situations. The department's equipment is comprised of three structural apparatus, three aircraft rescue fire-fighting apparatus, plus an incident command vehicle outfitted with a 200 lb dry chemical skid unit. All apparatus are pumper type, with more than 750 gallons of water, and are foam capable. The fire department was established in 1982, in direct support of the airpark, and the private industries that have facilities within the park, to provide essential day-to-day prevention services as well as vital crash fire/rescue services in the event of an emergency.
