Emergency Fire Prevention Around The Clock
SCTAC features a dedicated, on-site fire department that provides emergency and non-emergency services to the airpark and park tenants. The fire department was established in 1982 for direct support of the airpark and the private industries that have facilities within the park. It provides essential day-to-day prevention services, as well as vital crash fire/rescue services in the rare event of an emergency.
The Fire Department consists of two stations manned 24/7/365. The team consists of a Fire Chief, 20 firefighters on two shifts, and one administrative assistant. This seasoned, extensively trained team is professional, responsive and service-oriented. Our compliment of vehicular equipment includes a 2001 E-One 1500gpm pumper, a 1993 E-One 1500gpm pumper, a 1983 E-One 1500gpm pumper, a 1994 E-One Titan 6x6 ARFF vehicle, a 2006 Ford F-550 Officer’s Quick Response vehicle, a 2009 Ford F-150 utility P/U truck and a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Chief’s vehicle. We also have a wide assortment of specialized equipment to enable us to carry out whatever emergency task is required.
