Boeing's Announcement Impact in the Upstate
"Boeing announced plans for a major expansion in South Carolina on Wednesday. The company said it will create an assembly line for 787 Dreamliners in North Charleston." SCTAC Elects New Board Members
Mr. John Hopkins will serve as 2010 Chairman for the South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center's Board of Directors. Mr. Hopkins represents the county of Greenville. Don Nickell was also elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the board and Liz Seman as secretary. Members of the 2009 Board of Directors who will also continue to serve throughout 2010 include:

IRIX Manufacturing feels very fortunate to be located in South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center. It is such a convenient location and so easily accessible. Greenville has so much to offer
that it makes it very easy to recruit employees. We also appreciate and
utilize the resources that are offered at SCTAC. Since we do not have
an area large enough to accommodate all of our employees for meetings purposes,
we utilize the conference room of the fire station on a quarterly basis for
employee meetings. It's just a great place to be.
