SCTAC Improves Infrastructure
SCTAC has made several advancements for the infrastructure in the Center due to successful, first year lobbying efforts.
The Chapel Road re-alignment will begin in April of 2010 and completed within six months. The realignment will assist in traffic flow for the upcoming National Guard and the recently completed School Bus Facility. During construction, current traffic will not be affected, and once completed, this change will accommodate all tenants and visitors within the Center.
Also, renovations to Donaldson Field's Taxi Way B runway are made possible with the help of Congressman Inglis. SCTAC's first year of lobbying efforts have been a success with the funding of this project. Changes to Taxi Way B increase safety and efficiency within the airfield by allowing planes to depart and land without disruption to the other.
The Greenville Planning Commission has recently completed a traffic study for SCTAC, the first to be done in many years. This study will showcase the impact of the recent growth in the Center of the existing infrastructure. Each of these projects demonstrate SCTAC's continuing growth and economic development. By utilizing these changes, SCTAC is becoming a more efficient and an accommodating center for business growth and development.

The SC Arc User Network is a state network of GIS users and providers, including local government and utilities.
Cevallos also attended a conference in Myrtle Beach for the SC Aviation Association concerning this new technology for airport operations. SCTAC will utilize the GIS to improve safety operations, locate an ideal development location for future prospects, analyze service area, and manage a database of airfield systems and tenants.

An appointment is not necessary, but for planning purposes, please review the information below and notify the representative that you would like to give blood.
Giving blood only takes ten minutes of your time, and anyone who is in good health, at least 17 years old, and weighs at least 110 pounds can donate blood every 56 days.

SCTAC is proud of its military services in the center and understands the importance for each branch to fulfill state and federal safety requirements through operations and exercises. March 15-18, 2010, the 263rd Army, Air and Missile Defense Command Battalion will conduct an operation to ensure safety and efficiency within its battalion at SCTAC.

This exercise will allow the unit to practice its skills and demonstrate the proficiency of planning an Air Defense Plan, deploying to a specified location and defending a specified airspace. This exercise will take place at three locations around the center. Along with this responsibility, the National Guard, the conductors of the exercise, is dedicated to the respected of all businesses within SCTAC, and these operations are coordinated to prevent interruptions of other tenants and visitors.
